Zambia Super League reigning Champions, ZESCO United have confirmed the acquisition of winger Edward Lungu from Kitwe United.
The 19-year-old winger has penned a three-year deal with the Ndola-based outfit. The Club took to their official social media to
“ZESCO United football club is delighted to announce the signing of talented winger, Edward Lungu from Kitwe United.
Lungu signs a 3-year contract agreement with the FAZ/MTN Super League champions subject to completing medicals.”
Lunga becomes ZESCO United’s first signing of the season since the Ndola-based league giants won their ninth league title.

Lungu wants to succeed at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium so that he can use it as a springboard for Europe.
“I want to succeed here so that one day I get to play in Europe. ZESCO United is the biggest club in Zambia and it is every player’s wish to play for this team. Any player who plays here should be aiming to go and play abroad afterward,” Lungu told the club’s official website.
“Any players wish is to win titles. My target here is to help this team win more titles and compete very well in the CAF Champions League.”
The former Kitwe United winger will tomorrow be expected to join the ZESCO United squad that started preseason preparations this week.
