Copper Queens resume training ahead of Wednesday’s Spanish test

The Copper Queens had a loosening session in Hamilton on Sunday ahead of Wednesday’s Group C encounter against Spain.

The team were taken through their paces by physical trainer Jamie Lawrence.

The recovery session lasted about 80 minutes.

Bruce Mwape, Lisa Coleman and Avram Grant kept a close eye as Barbra Banda and co trained.

The Women’s FIFA World Cup debutants will be hoping to recover from the 5-0 defeat to Japan on Saturday as the face the European giants.

Spain beat Costa Rica 3-0 in the opening match.

Zambia will conclude their Group C fixtures against Costa Rica.

  3. Spain better team to Copper queens everything is possible in soccer women to women. Right backs and left back must alert to their opponents. Must be quick all time thats were a loopholes .

  4. Spain is beatable just like any other team. The girls unexpectedly won the match against Germany. Nobody new that our girls would carry the day. All the Copper Queens need to do is to remain focused, united and composed. I would suggest the coach and the technical beach stick to the game formation that was used against the friendly against Germany. Go Zambia Go. We are proudly behind you!!! All the best.
