Red Arrows boss Chisi Mbewe has graduated with a CAF A license following the completion of the course in Tanzania.
Mbewe completed the course back in May and has since been awarded with a CAF A coaching license.
In May the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) handed Mbewe a Champions send off to celebrate his work of guiding the Airmen to the 2021/2022 Super League title.
“TZ Federation gives Chisi Mbewe a Champion send off… The 2021/22 MTN Super League winning coach has since arrived home after completion of his CAF A Coaching program in Dar,” – Arrows posted on their official Facebook page.
Chisi and Green Eagles assistant coach Alex Namazaba started their course last year in August when they traveled to Dar es Salaam in pursuit of a CAF A Coaching license to make them eligible to sit on the bench in CAF continental football.
They then traveled back to Dar in March before the final trek to the East African Nation six months ago.
Mbewe guided the Airmen to a third place finish in Super League in the 2020/2021 season to qualify for CAF interclubs competition after a nine-year wait.
A CAF A License, or its equivalent, is a compulsory requirement for all coaches managing clubs that are participating in CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup tournaments.
