MTN Super League League side Mufulira Wanderers have signed Congolese midfielder Menayame Ndombe Virgil, the club has confirmed.
The 20 year old has penned a two and half year deal with the legendary Cup fighters.
“Mufulira Wanderers Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Congolese attacking midfielder Menayame Ndombe Vingil on a 2 years 6 months permanent deal.
The 20-year-old joins Abena Milambo from Marine Football Club of Rwanda, where he spent last season. Born 20th July 2005, Menayame is a product of DCMP and operates primarily as an attacking midfielder “10/8”, with the versatility to also play as a central midfielder or inverted winger and very comfortable with both feet.
Vingil enjoyed an outstanding season with Marine FC, featuring in 30 matches and contributing 10 goals and 18 assists.”
Menayame has expressed happiness on joining Wanderers and sees it as a new challenge.
“I am very happy to join Mufulira Wanderers Football Club. It’s a new challenge for me and I am motivated to help the team achieve its objectives. I will give everything for the badge and the fans,” he said.
Meanwhile Club acting CEO Mr. Evans Chiyanta says Menayame is a talented young player who is very creative.
“Menayame is a talented young player with creativity, vision and end product. His numbers last season speak for themselves, and his versatility gives us different options in attack and midfield. We believe he will adapt quickly and be a key part of our project as we continue building a competitive team.”
