Forest Rangers and Red Arrows shared the spoils in a rescheduled fixture of the MTN Super League played at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka yesterday.
Despite collecting only a point away from home Forest Rangers Head Coach Tenant Chembo felt that his side would have gotten the maximum points because they created more chances especially in the first Stanza of the match.
“It’s the game that we should have won I thought in the first half we had chances, after two disappointing results that we have registered this was a must-win game and am not taking away anything from Red Arrows they are a very good team but we needed to win so that we redeem ourselves,” he said.
Chembo believes more sensitization is needed to the clubs and players regarding the new laws of the game, Chembo was commenting on the disallowed Bill Mutale goal by referee Rodrick Ng’andu.
“The people who know the rules are the match officials and the referees so each club needs to be sensitized so that when training the players must know why some decisions are made like that to avoid chaos,” he said.
The Ndola-based side will be away to Chambishi on Sunday, A match Chembo believes will be tough hence his team needs to prepare adequately.
“It will be a hard game and we need to prepare ourselves and work extra hard.”
James Chamanga put the hosts in the lead in the 28th minute with a fine finish inside the box before Laurent Muma benefited from poor defending to level matters in the 7th minute to make sure spoils were shared at Nkoloma. Fole Malembe is 7th on the log table with 11 points to their name.
