Respected sports journalist Chapadongo Lungu weighs in on the ‘noise’ created by the FAZ executive committee over the Barcelona Legends versus Chipolopolo AfCON winning 2012 champions.

That clears any doubt on why FAZ were raising an issue over the Legends game. The problem FAZ has is not the Nike logo nor is it the so- called 2012 afcon winning squad but the presence of Kalu in the Legends setup.
They have had problems with Kalu’s name for 7 years and this can easily be catalogued. Such a stance against a national hero, an international icon and your compatriot is not only unfortunate but evil.
This FAZ team has, to the best of my knowledge, achieved nothing noteworthy. Statistics clearly show their performance has been the worst in the last three decades.
Their role should be to help raise football standards from the abyss rather than focus on ‘finishing’ an individual.
