The Nike contract with the FAZ covered only the senior men’s national football team.
It did not extend to age group and/or women’s teams.
However, both men and women’s age group teams as well as the senior women’s national football team would be dressed in Nike attire, purchased off the shelf, in official matches.
Nike never sued the FAZ, even as the U17 Women’s national football team wore Nike kit at the U17 FIFA World Cup in Costa Rica. The kit was purchased off the shelf, if you like, and there was nothing illegal about that.
Therefore, I ask, what illegalities exist for one time use of the Nike kit by the very players who used it in 2012?
