  1. there is a nigerian who came here bragging that he is an elder and zambia is a small team. Another called super falcon bragged so much they have since disappeared in thin air

  2. Nigeria is a fluke african champion. They qualified for the world cup by fluke with pathetic teams in their group like namibia. Nigeria only played 2 games to qualify for afcon 2013 i said when the going gets tough Nigeria will fade. Nigeria did not deserve to play the confederations cup that was Zambia’s tournament we were robbed.

    • @John.

Why are you so critical of others. If Nigeria is a fluke champion then so is Zambia. Winning in 2012 and then being eliminated in the first round in 2013. The story with the confederations cup is old business; get over it.

We get upset at people who call Zambia fluke champions but we turn around and start to call others the same thing. Nigeria were deserving champions. They played a solid game against Zambia, in fact they should have won that game had it not been that questionable pk. They also beat all comers in that tournament. Failure today does not take away the fact that they are former African Champions for the second time. Atti they only played 2 games to qualify, Zambia also only played 2 games to qualify and we failed to do anything significant in the tournament.

  3. Well done South Africa, even ivory coast was suppose to be disposed out of the E guinea finals during their match with cameroon they displayed the kind of fooliness am yet to see in high profile international competition

  4. Good that loud mouth Nigeria is not going to the AFCON, Silly people. I am happy, I wish Cameroon was not going too, but we will handle them as long they won’t be hitting our talented players with their elbows. As for Ghana, we will happily handle them.

  5. I have no kind words to those colleagyes on this one they insult us a lot!

In case they didnt see the list:
The qualified teams are Equatorial Guinea (hosts), Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia and ZAMBIA.

  6. We need to get a new quality coach now like Ghana. With the current coach first round elimination is a guarantee. The players can be refined to win the second Afcon in 3years period.Good lucky ZAMBIA.

  7. Nigeria is a useless team, with a lot of loud mouth pounded yam eating book haram, where is that chicken falcon girls that has no clue on what she is always blogging bout? Y’all have duck tape on your loud mouths..punks. Vamos!

  8. JANZA shud now maintan the same guys wel done,i hav acceptd u hav realy mournd, hournerd our late president MR M.CHILUFYA SATA,in a good manner.do it again in E GUENNE we are supportng u.

  9. Zamfoot don’t mislead the world, Tunisia will be playing at Afcon. Janza must get George Chilufya frm Brave Rangers otherwise Munthali is not a reliable defender, i also don’t know Y???? he starts wit Musakanya instead of Lubambo who changes the game evrytm hes brought in. Evans Kangwa should have also played in that game. Otherwise congratulations boyz. Nigeria better luck next time, concentrate on Boko haram!!!!!

    • You are more than right this guy Munthali must be replaced with Chilufya from Nchanger Rangers without delay if we too mean business in E.Guinea

  10. I’m very happy #Nigeria is kicked out. They talk too much. Even the egyptians don’t call themselves the power house of Africa with 5 afcon trophies, not to mention Ghana with 4 although they last won in 1982, and have played several finals and last four finishes, with an impressive fifa world cup record.

I think nigerians are suffering from a serious brain tumour, now they claim to be Africa’s biggest economy churning out fake statistics while poverty keeps staring at their faces – are these people ok?

can they give us something about them we can trust?

    • Yerh sure wc, they talk too much but you are always welcome to ghanasoccernet.com. But I flt Stan Tshosane should be given another shot as head coach

  11. Ba FAZ!!! Pliz bring back the Jersey we used @ afcon 2012, yo current one is pathetic!!! Dont know how u came up with that outfit… Learn to consult “we the stakeholders”

  12. Well played in the second half. The first half play was mediocre. Like all bloggers i add my voice that Munthali is extremely suspect. The guy completely hacked the CV striker in the box and that should have been a penalty. Donashano again was clueless like he was against MoZ. Musakanya is not yet first team material. He needs to give way to Lubambo. Why is Chisamba not starting games? Without him we don’t boss the midfield and midfield dominance is what makes us Zambia. Even loudmouthed Ghanians if their honest know we bossed them in midfield in the second half in kumasi last year. Janza needs to do alot to this team to make us effective at Afcon 2015 otherwise we will not go past the first round.

  13. Zamfoot…get realistic….The site will lose credibility if you persist with these jokes of ratings. …Munthali is
rubbish…He is not even close to being one of the best center backs in the local league…Billy
Mutale….George Chisanga, Dennis Banda, Saulani. ..are all much better….Munthali could have cost us a
penalty …He is rubbish…He shouldn’t be anywhere near the Afcon team. Sate Sate did nothing other than
finish well from an offside position he can’t get more than 6…Other than his offside goal he was rubbish…
Janza can’t get more than 5….yet again his selection is questionable….look how organised Cape Verde
were in the first half…..that’s how a serious team should play…..Zambia has the material in terms of
players but Janza I’d not taking us anywhere

  14. I thought Mayuka was a bit selfish in the first half.
He was sort of going for personal glory instead of team work.
There was one he shot over the bar and yet someone was waiting in the 18 yard arc all alone and he could have just passed the ball to him, but shot from an angle.
Anyway all is well that ends well.

As for Ghana, my prayers were not answered, but welcome aboard, what kept you so long?????

  15. Congrats to all the teams that have qualified I have been watching closely these games for most African teams. I must say most teams have really improved including the perceived minnows and teams that have not qualify too. I have watched teams like Algeria, Senegal, Cameroon,South Africa, Gabon etc it’s quiet evident to note that the game for these teams has gone to another level in tactics, speed, skill and efficient.

Zambia has the potential but they are many areas that need improvement to compete effectively for Afcon 2015 areas such as defense system, team cohesion, set pieces and tactics. In all honesty the team is in its developmental stage and I think the coach is trying all permutations to have the right combination, so far the results are there to see that he has done a recommendable job to qualify the team to Afcon 2015.

Demanding for a cup right now will be asking for too much let’s build patience as fans and become more realistic. We have new talented young players e.g Bruce Musakanya is good and talented but he needs to mature and get exposed so is Musonda,Sate Sate,Malama and Company.Talent alone is not good enough players need to mature and maturity does not come overnight sometimes.

I’m not quiet sure when the ZPL will close but I’ll demand for an early call for camp to prepare these boys adequately let FAZ organize few friendly matches for these guys to gel and play as a unit. The boys seem to be buying into the loyalty of Honor Janza I’ll not call for a new coach now let him just built a strong belief in the boys and they will excel!

  16. Lets maintain Janza. He is just fine. Guys Local is Lekker. The local guy understands local football, players, local culture and language. These little things you underrate but they help in shaping up the players. The local guy also has the interest of the the country at heart, not only his salary. An expatriate is more interested in money and upgrading his CV. So I can say that Janza should stay on. He only needs to maintain this team, sharpen then and strengthen the defence. Just like what most of the bloggers have stated, he should start players who adds real value to the team. E.g. Why start Musakanya ahead of Lubamba? Why start Donashano ahead of Nkausu? Why put Chisamba on the bench? Munthali is a suspect at the bench? Otherwise, I think we are on the right track. The Dutch guy should also stay on to assist Janza with tactics and I think he is the one calling some of those popular substitutions from the background. Otherwise we just need to prepare very well and play as many friendlies as possible. We will be fine.
Now coming to AFCON in 2015, the teams that are really scaring me are Cameroon, Senegal and Algeria, the rest are not an issue. We can handle them. My opinion.

  17. USELESS,OVERRATED AND PATHETIC Nigerian team. This team do not deserve to be champions of Africa. Zambia would still be champions if it was not for the stinking corruption at CAF!PATHETIC!

  18. What do we say of Steve Keshi…? Some even wanted him for Zambia and there he is…failing to qualify a team loaded with talent. His Nigerian detractors are now saying: ‘we told you’
But as we all know Nigerians, natural spindoctors and experts in coping strategies, they will go around telling everyone this was done on purpose for a good cause to allow Congo Brazzaville to return to Afcon after 17 years in the wilderness. Some will accuse those sons of the devil, Boko Haram.

  19. Billy, Janza should stay for now looking at the bigger picture. Nico Labohm seems to be a great thinker and tactician of football. I think we are in the right track. The team played the best football in the second half that they have played in the entire qualification series.

Lubambo Musonda is just fantastic but he needs to improve and work on his crossing. He can only get better. The team still needs a few old heads to provide guidance and just offer that extra experience.

Equatorial Guinea seems like a good hunting ground for us. We can do it again!!!

  20. Well done Bafana-Bafana! You couldnt have chosen a better way of honouring your former Capitain Senzo Meyiwa (RIP) by handing out a lesson to the Green Eagles.

  21. It is interesting to note as one blogger on another thread has rightly pointed out that, at the 2015 tournament Zambia will be the most recent AFCON champions. Note this, the 2006, 2008 and 2010 champions, Egypt have failed to qualify and also the 2013 Champions, Nigeria, have failed. We are the only Champions at the tourney in the past decade.

    • Yes! u r very right, Zambia is more less than a defending champions, we shall do it in E.Guinea especially tht faz has agreed to bring back the afcon 2012 Jersey, “the Don’t kubeba” era.

  22. Cameroun used a C team and handed Ivory Coast qualification. That game was riggid.. CAF should investigate, I watched that game..

  23. Just a reminder, Zambia won the AFCON when the new government was coming into power. The same will happen in 2015. Believe it or not this is not a coincidence

  24. Good for loud mouths, Nigerians let them concentrate on searching for the Boko haram and ebora cure.. They made funnies of us when we were kicked out in the first round of the 2013 cup but now them have failed to even qualify??

  25. The defending CHAMPS in e.guiene are CHIPOLOPOLO…home ground.. Nigeria sorry ooooh CHINEKE!!!!!! hard luck. Zambia won 2012 but still qualified in 2013 at least tho eliminated in 1st round..

Congrats S.A am beginig to love that team…Congrats Ghana..
    Apearence at AFCON
    Zambia 20 TIMES
    Ghana 20 TIMES

  26. Let the Dutch man take the position of head coach,Janza shud go back to his old duties. Don’t mention Sata here,Sata had no passion for soccer. Let the useless super Chickens rest in peace !!!!!

  27. The Nigerians made too much noise here in South Africa when they were crowned champions and they went as far as saying that they are the real champions. But The real champions have failed even to qualify for AFCON 2015 and shame on the bogus champions. The referee helped them to get a draw by adding more time and giving a red card to Letsholoanyane otherwise they would have been beaten badly by Bafana Bafana.
