Zambia national team duo of midfielders Clatous Chota Chama and Rally Bwalya scored to steer Simba SC of Tanzania into the CAF Champions League quarter-finals on Saturday afternoon with a game to spare.
The Tanzanian giants have sailed through to the quarter-finals with a game to spare following a superb 4-1 win at home against AS Vita Club of DR Congo thanks to their 13 point haul.
Simba came into the game looking for just a point to cement their top slot and took the lead at the half-hour mark thanks to a Luis Jose Miquissone ferocious strike from inside the area. The lead only lasted for just two minutes as Zemanga Soze leveled matters for the DR Congo giants with a fine strike.
Clatous Chota Chama put ‘Wekundu wa Msimbazi’ back in the lead just a minute into the second stanza. Fellow Chipolopolo star Rally Bwalya needed only five minutes to extend, Simba’s lead with a powerful low shot after being set up by Triple C.

Chama went on to seal the 4-1 bashing of AS Vita with a fantastic ‘advert’ goal beating two defenders and the goalkeeper to score, 4-1 the match ended.
Regardless of the result of their final match against Al Ahly next Friday, Simba will finish top of Group A as they are five points clear of the Eg
