Young Green Eagles out of relegation zone as Prison Leopards blow 2-0 lead away in Choma

Young Green Eagles have moved out of the relegation zone following a 2-1 win over struggling Lumwana while Prison Leopards gave up a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 away in Choma.

Young Green Eagles welcomed Bilton Musonda and his Lumwana Radiants at the Khosa Stadium looking for their fifth win of the season.

Their afternoon started well with a fifth-minute goal from Robert Chifunda before Isaac Ngoma extended the lead in the 63rd minute. Joseph Pyele Jr pulled one back in additional time but it was a little too late as Young Eagles held on to win 2-1 and move to 13th place on the log with 25 points.

At Independence Stadium in Choma, Prison Leopards gave away a two-goal lead to settle for a point against the Kawale Boys, Green Eagles.

Junior Zulu and David Obash put the Collect Boys in the driving seat only for Progress Kalenga and Anos Tembo to level matters and earn a point for the Choma-based outfit.

At Edwin Imboela Stadium, Kenneth Kasanga’s early strike was the difference as Nkwazi edged Kitwe United, 1-0.

Kabwe Warriors leveled matters in the dying minutes to rescue a point against Lusaka Dynamos at Woodlands Stadium while Indeni needed a Graven Chitalu goal to earn a point against Red Arrows at the cage.
