Zambia Women’s national team coach Bruce Mwape has been named as the Best Women’s national coach in Africa for 2021 by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) in Africa.
Mwape qualified the Copper Queens for their maiden Olympics appearance in 2020 which was delayed and played in 2021 where they held China and narrowly lost to giants, Brazil.
Nigerian forward Asisat Oshoala was named the best Women’s Player in Africa for the year 2021 after an impressive season with FC Barcelona Femeni.
Ghanian teenager Evelyn Badu was the biggest winner clinching a double after being named the best playmaker and best youth player on the continent.
Hasaacas Ladies 19-year-old forward had a stellar year winning five trophies with Hasaacas Ladies, several individual awards and also finished as the topscorer at the CAF Champions League, Player of the tournament and also won the Ghana web player of the year.
