Lumwana Radiants have unveiled ‘Quicksilver’ Beston Chambeshi as their new coach.
The Radiants executive committee yesterday introduced the former Nkana fc and Power Dynamos coach to the players ahead of today’s match against Green Buffaloes this afternoon.
Chambeshi was returns to Zambia after a short stint in Botswana after he was fired by Nkana on May 25 2015 where he spent 10 months.
He takes over from Silas Simunyola at Radiants who was the stand in coach after the dismissal of Allan Kamwanga following a string of poor results.
In today’s game, Radiants who are second from bottom play fourth placed Green Buffaloes who could go third on the log behind Zanaco on goal difference if they win the game.
Radiants have managed to draw their last two games and will be hoping the arrival of Chambeshi will be a morale booster for them to record their first win in 8 games.
A win will see the North Western province based side stay in the relegation zone only on account of their inferior goal difference as they will move to 14 points joining Lusaka Tigers (who occupy the last safe place) and Lusaka Dynamos
