Lumwana Radiants fire coach

Lumwana Radiants have announced the dismissal of coach Allan Kamwanga with his two assistants George Chilufya and Rotson Kilambe.

According to a statement released to ZamFoot, Radiants have stated that they have parted ways with the three coaches on mutual consent.

“We decided to part ways on mutual consent after a review of the recent club’s performance,” the statement read.

“We would like to thank each one of them for their support especially for helping us achieve two land mark events; Barclays Cup participation and Super league (First club from Northwestern Province).”

Radiants started the season well but have struggled to cope with the pressure of the top league winning only twice in 11 games.

They current are second from bottom on 9 points.

Silas Simunyola will stand in as Coach-player during the transition phase.

Kamwanga is the fifth coach to be shown the door in the super division this season.

    • its not fare what lumwana and blackpool executive have done.the best they could have done was to make the coaches assistants to the incoming coaches like what zesco did to chembo and lupiya.

      • You are very very right…I cant agree with you more. Those guys did alot for their respective clubs to be sidelined just like that

  2. Patience pays naifye we almost fired Fatty but after giving him time we are now doing fine.kabwe warriors for life

  3. Again, the lack of patience with coaches rears its ugly head in our football. What measures did Lumwana put in place to allow them to effectively compete in the top flight? Instead of blaming and firing coaches at the drop of the heart these teams need to do some soul searching before they do these knee jerk reactions. It is foolish to expect Lumwana to come in and perform like Leicester with no real investment in players to make you succeed. I feel like the historical precedence set by Lumwana has been diminished by this myopic move by management. Give coaches tools to succeed as opposed to expecting miracles from them.
