Trident Football Club have arrived in Lusaka for a 10-day intensive pre-season training camp as preparations gather pace for the 2026 MTN Super League transitional season.
The Kalumbila-based outfit reached the capital on Sunday to begin the next phase of their pre-season programme, with the club describing the camp as an important step in its build-up to the new campaign.
In a statement, Trident said the squad would use the camp to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead.
“During the camp, the squad will participate in a series of high-level friendly matches against quality opposition to build match fitness, strengthen team cohesion, and fine-tune tactical preparations ahead of the new season,” the club said.
The friendlies will provide the technical bench with an opportunity to assess the squad in competitive conditions before the league campaign begins next month.
Trident are scheduled to return to Kalumbila on 12 August to conclude the final phase of their preparations before the start of the season.
The club also confirmed that supporters can expect new additions to be unveiled during the camp.
“The club will also officially announce its new player signings during the course of the pre-season camp,” the statement added.
The Lusaka camp forms part of Trident’s preparations for the 2026 MTN Super League transitional competition, which is scheduled to run from 12 September until December.
The transitional campaign has been divided into two streams, with Trident drawn in the Odd Positions Stream alongside reigning champions Power Dynamos, FC MUZA, Nchanga Rangers, ZANACO FC, Konkola Blades, Kansanshi Dynamos, Nkana FC, NAPSA Stars and Makeni All Stars.
With just over a month remaining before the opening round of fixtures, the Lusaka camp is expected to play a key role in ensuring Trident are ready for the demands of a shortened but highly competitive transitional season.
