Chipolopolo up two places on FIFA/Coca Cola Rankings
The Zambia national soccer team has risen to places on the FIFA/Coca Cola World rankings to stand on number 76 in the world.
The rise has seen the Chipolopolo overtake Uganda to move into 16th position in Africa.
The Chipolopolo have played two games in the past month under review, drawing with Namibia in the Cosafa Cup before winning the same match on post match penalties. Zambia won the other match 1 – 0 against Madagascar (position 106) to reach the final of the regional Cosafa Castle Cup.
Zambia’s opponents in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers Namibia are in position 116 on the world rankings.
Tunisia continue to lead the pack in Africa despite falling 7 places on the world rankings followed by Senegal, Congo DR, Morocco and Egypt. Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Mali complete the top 10 in Africa.
