Zesco United complete Japanese midfielder signing

Japanese midfielder Kosuke Nakamachi has joined Zambia Super League giants Zesco United. Nakamachi confirmed the development on Instagram.

The 33 year old expressed happiness at the completion of the deal and is alive to the reality of numerous challenges lying ahead of him. He has however promised total commitment to the club and the fans.

“My new episode starts from today .I’m so happy to announce this officially. “I’m part of of Zesco United FC now”. I know that I will face many struggles such as cultural difference and stuff but I promiwait to see you se that I will work hard for the team, team mates and all the people who supports us. I can’t guys at the stadium. Natotela Saana.” Nakamachi posted on his Instagram account.

Nakamachi turned down a two-year contract extension with the J. League first division side (F. Marinos) in favour of a move to the Zambia Super League earlier this month.

“If I have the support of the Marinos family, I feel like I can work hard no matter how far away I am or how much adversity I might face,” Nakamachi wrote. “That is the level of affection I have felt over the last seven years.”

Nakamachi’s message when he was leaving F. Marinos was accompanied by an undated video which depicted him playing with children in Zambia. Nakamachi wrote that since 2013, he has worked with a charity run by a college classmate which donates soccer balls throughout the region.

“I have seen the smiles of children who play without shoes who have never received brand-new soccer balls. If I can bring joy to others by playing soccer, it ads so much importance to what I do.”

The defensive midfielder will have to fight for a place in the team with the likes of Misheck Chaila, Anthony Akumu and Kondwani Mtonga
