Jwaneng Galaxy have received a major boost with the arrival of four key players ahead of their much-anticipated CAF Confederation Cup clash against Zesco United this Saturday.
The quartet — Chicco Molefe, Thabo K. Leinanyane, Thabang V. Sesinyi, and Thero F. Setsile — were spotted at Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport on Thursday, en route to join their teammates in Ndola.
The players were returning from international duty with Botswana’s national team, the Zebras, following a 2-2 draw against Guinea in their final FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifier held in Casablanca, Morocco. Leinanyane and Sesinyi featured in the starting lineup, while Molefe and Setsile were on the bench.
Their journey back saw them connect from Casablanca to Johannesburg before boarding a Proflight Zambia flight to Lusaka. From there, they continued on to Ndola to link up with the rest of the Jwaneng Galaxy squad, who had traveled earlier from Gaborone.
In total, Jwaneng Galaxy had six players on international duty — four from Botswana, two from Namibia, and one from Lesotho.
Jwaneng Galaxy will lock horns with Zesco United in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup last 32 round this Saturday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
