Zanaco Ladies have confirmed the acquisition of Democratic Republic of Congo duo Brigitte Ngamita Zita and Rebecca Kianga Mulanga, as earlier reported by the ZamFoot Crew.
The club has completed deals for both players, with goalkeeper Ngamita joining on a two-year loan from Ituri FC and striker Kianga signing a two-year permanent contract from Les Aigles du Congo.
The pair have joined Zanaco for the transition season and could feature in the squad for Saturday’s fixture against Red Arrows.
Ngamita arrives with an impressive record, having previously played for TP Mazembe and won the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2023.
The goalkeeper has also won the UNIFAC Cup in 2022 and 2024 and has represented DR Congo at international level. She captained the country’s U20 side in 2023 and was part of the senior national team that qualified for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
“Zanaco Football Club has a rich history on the African stage and it’s an honour to join the club,” Ngamita said.
Kianga, meanwhile, joins after finishing as the Congolese Super League’s leading scorer last season.
The forward scored 18 goals for Les Aigles du Congo and has signed a two-year permanent deal with Zanaco.
She has represented DR Congo at U17 and U20 level and is also part of the senior national-team set-up.
“I am happy to join Zanaco Ladies and I want to be part of their success,” Kianga said.
The arrival of the Congolese duo strengthens Zanaco’s options in attack and goalkeeping as the club looks to build a competitive squad for the transition season.
Ngamita’s experience at continental level and Kianga’s goalscoring record add further quality to a Zanaco side looking to make an impact in the new campaign.
