Zanaco go second after drawing with Warriors

Zanaco have overtaken Zesco United to go second on the FAZ MTN super league table after playing to a 1 – 1 with 10 man Kabwe Warriors.

Zanaco who have extended their unbeaten run to 11 games this season opened the scores in the 26th minute from a set piece converted by Rodrick Kabwe who took his tally for the season to four goals.

Warriors leveled the scores in the 69th minute through Martin Daka.

Solomon Sakala was then sent off in the 73rd minute but Warriors held on to move into 8th position on 14 points.

Zanaco are now level on 22 points with Zesco but have a superior goal difference.

They trail leaders Nkana by 4 points and have played a game less than the Kitwe outfit and Zesco.

In Mazabuka, Nakambala Leopards and Nchanga Rangers played out to a goalless draw.

Nakambala Leopards, Nchanga Rangers and Forest Rangers are now all on 14 points and are only separated by goal difference.

  1. Zamfoot get your facts right.zanaco have now played equal games as Nkana and Zesco.Zanaco’s one unplayed game is against Nkana.

  2. The state of that pitch in the photo though..However,I have always wondered why Rodrick Kabwe fails replicate his similar at ZANACO when called to the national team.

  3. Zanaco has two games in hand against GBFC and Nkana,whilst Nkana only has one game in hand against Zanaco.Zesco also has a game in hand.
