Zambia U20 arrive in South Korea ahead of first game against Ecuador

The Zambia U-20 Men’s National Team has arrived in Korea for the Four Nations Invitational Tournament.

Ambassador to Korea Mumba Kapumpa welcomed the team at Incheon International Airport at 18h35 which is 12h45 Zambian time.

The African champions will play their opening fixture against Ecuador on March 25, 2017 at the Suwon World Cup Stadium while South Korea will engage Honduras on the same day.

Team manager Daniel Jere said the team was well received and booked at Ibis Ambassador.

Zambia is using the tournament to prepare for the FIFA World Cup that kicks off on May 20 and ends on June 11.

Chambeshi’s side is in Group C alongside Portugal, Costa Rica and Iran.

As seen in the photo, the African Champions received a thunderous welcome on arrival.

  1. L was watching the Zambia 20 vs Egypt under 20 on You tube. This boy Patson Daka plays just like Samuel Etoo the famed Cameroonian player..Speed positioning and the way His body build.Can not wail for the real Under 20 world cup in May.

Frank Nonde. …u are very right…I couldn’t agree more….I see Samuel Eto in young Patson. …am surprised jokers on this forum fail to give him credit for his performances in the Afcon. …the guy was being marked by 2 players sometimes 3….In each game….that’s why Edward Chilufya was able to chip in with all those goals….Patson being occupied created space….
