Zambia national soccer team is now ranked 90th on the latest Coca Cola/FIFA Rankings released in Thursday.
The Chipolopolo Boys are also ranked 21th in Africa.
Egypt in the number one ranked side with Senegal, Burkina Faso, Tunisia and DR Congo completing the top five in that order.
West African giants Nigeria and Ghana are 6th and 7th respectively. Ivory Coast, Morocco and Algeria complete the top 10.
Mali, South Africa, Benin, Guinea, Uganda and Cape Verde are 11th to 16th while Congo, Guinea Bissau, Gabon and Kenya complete the top 20.
Zambia’s CHAN opponents Swaziland are ranked 108 in the world.
Cameroon 2019 African Cup of Nations Group B opponents Guinea Bissau and Namibia are ranked 80th and 99th while Mozambique is 105.
For Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers, Zambia’s opponents include African Champions Cameroon and 2013 Champions Cameroon.
In terms of success the trio Zambia, Nigeria and Cameroon have won the last three out of the four AFCONs.
Cameroon are 32nd while Nigeria is 41st with Algeria on number 50th.

Ten players in this under20 team should be promoted to the senior national team then will kick start our campaign to both Afcon and world cup qualify and the useless kamanga should also secure friendly matches with quality teams from west African.according to the information that I have zambia is set to play a friendly with botswana which is not good enough senegal or Ghana will be the best option for me
