The Chipolopolo Queens bowed out of the on-going CAF Africa Womens Championship with a decent 1 – 1 draw against Ivory Coast who have proceeded to the next round.
Zambia again had a poor start to the game and quickly fell behind in the second minute.
However, the Charles Bwale coached lasses picked themselves up to make the match a contest.
Captain Mupopo Kabange was a thorn in the Ivorian defence but the Zambians failed to make a break through despite having efforts on goal.
Zambia managed to level matters when a brilliant run by Kabange ended with a square ball for Susan Banda who scored with a right footed finish for Zambia to celebrate their first goal of the tournament.
Zambia lost the first game to hosts Namibia by 2 – 0, before being whitewashed by Nigeria via a 6 – 0 scoreline.

Okay!
It was a good learning curve, the experience learned is worthy the money we spent. Try harder next time.
Ba Coach I was just wondering why the lasses had to open their games when they are so inexperienced. I was expecting our ladies to play a closed game. Parking the defence and mid field and attacking with the speedy Kabange Mupopo on the break. This would have minimized the scorelines. It reminds me of the DRC Vs Ivory Coast Game. Study the way Congo were breaking on counter-attacks and how effective they were.
Anyway these are just my thoughts.
at least we pikd a draw next the galz will do better, lets jx give them support.
