Zesco United assistant coach Alfred Lupiya showed praise on midfielder Anthony Akumu who has been playing in central defence for the last two games.
Lupiya even jokingly alerted David Odhiambo who is nursing an injury to be worried because of how understanding Akumu has been in the two games he has played in central defence.
” Well David has to be worried now, ” Lupiya said jokingly. He is playing very well we never expected. Kudos to him he has done us proud.”
” Odhiambo has got an injury. Tony Anthony Akumu) played the same position even at Nchanga Stadium,” He added.
Zesco United opened a seven point lead after beating Green Eagles by three goals to one. Maybin Kalengo opened the scores in the 2nd minute to put the log leaders in control of the match.
Anos Tembo pulled Eagles level at the death of the first half but second half spectacular goals from John Ching’andu and Lazarus Kambole made sure Zesco United ended Choma Green Eagles four game winning streak.
