Chipolopolo Boys assistant coach Moses Sichone is happy that his boys picked up a vital 2-1 win over Comoros.
Second half goals from Friedrick Mulambya and Albert Kangwanda propelled Zambia to a 2-1 win over the Comoros.
“Great win, we needed it. Congratulations to the players, they have done well,” Sichone said
“It wasn’t an easy game. We knew Comoros would go for a draw maybe, but we did very well and the boys responded well after the defeat in the first game.
Again it was a defensive mistake which allowed the opponents to score after a mix-up between Samson Mkandawire and goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga.
Sichone played down the incidence and encouraged his boys to keep going.
“Mistakes at the back are understandable, these are young players. We just need to work on communication.
Comoros coach Amir Abdoud also praised despite the defeat.
“We knew coming into the game that it would be tough playing against a tough opponent.
” Congratulations to my players, they did well. We lost the match, but we didn’t lose the war.
“We know that in the group most teams have three points going into the last game. We will give our best to win and hope we qualify for the semi-finals.”
Malawi lead the group with 6 points while Zambia and Comoros are on 3 points.
Seychelles are bottom of the group

The just have to keep encouraging players to believe in themselves and put in Extra effort in order to archive positive results.
3 players have been to cosafa and the rest are new.
Good luck.
