Former Zambia Under-20 goalkeeper Jeban Tembo has joined MTN Super League side Zanaco on a two-season loan deal from Red Arrows, as earlier reported by the ZamFoot Crew.
The Bankers confirmed the signing on Thursday, with Tembo set to strengthen their goalkeeping department ahead of the new season.
The 23-year-old has previously featured for FC MUZA and Kafue Celtic, while also representing Zambia at Under-20 and Under-23 level.
Tembo earned individual recognition at the 2022 COSAFA Under-20 Championship in Eswatini, where he was named Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.
The goalkeeper said joining Zanaco was a special moment, given his long-standing connection with the club.
“I am so happy to join Zanaco. This is the club I grew up watching when I was young, coming from Mtendere Township,” Tembo said.
Tembo has also vowed to play his part both on and off the pitch as Zanaco target a successful campaign.
His arrival adds experience and quality to the Bankers’ squad as the club continues preparations for the new season.
