Top Scorers Chart: Teen striker Luchanga among ZSL elite strikers

With the Chipolopolo teams struggling for goals at all levels, seventeen year old Conlyde Luchanga is beginning to make headlines for the right reasons.

The youngster has put his name among the elite strikers in a league that is struggling for goals as he took his tally to five to be joint second with Winstone Kalengo, Jackson Mwanza (both with the national team in Namibia) and Festus Mbewe.

Luchanga has now scored five goals in the past five games for Lusaka Dynamos to sneak in just behind Jimmy Ndhlovu of Power Dynamos.

  1. Its a good start for Luchanga, if he mentains this kind of perfomance, it will very unfortunate for him not not to play at national level. We really need perfomance-based player selection for national assignments and not names, because this way of doing things is has always proved to be fruitless. Good luck youngman, just don’t become big-headed in the process and keep away from people who will not add value to your career.

  2. wen fame & money gets to his head. we all know what will become of him, he will join the list of failed budding talent in Zambia

  3. I have a problem with all these strikers because they lack consistency, Jimmy started well even last season but he finished the season with 14goals if am not mistaken, that’s not even half of the games played in a season. I’ll be very happy if any one of them can get even just 20goals

  4. Gb it’s all because of the way the league is being run, the majority of those players spend most of there time on National duty rather than at their clubs, that’s why it’s even difficult for them to be well marketed.

  5. And Kalu’s next big thing,Patson,is not even on those with two goals to their name and as in this lad making the national team is going to be difficult as he is from L.Dynamos whose owner is not in good books with Kalu.

  6. Patson has only played six games so far for Nchanga which is very unfair for him coz he’s just being misused at the moment, he should have being left to concentrated on his club and just one of the National team especially the under 20 coz that’s his level .

  7. Is Patson an exceptional talent?if so can some one please help me on this one by outlining every detail and please not that crap like he is,that is why these clown coaches are using him, because we now all know that they, the coaches-Janza and Chicken-just do so on the decretion of Kalu.Kalu has been promised a big cut from the sale of these lads from Kafue, first he has to do so by instructing new clown on the block,Chicken to play the lads so that they amass a number of caps which is one of the requirements for a player if he is to signed in Europe.

  8. I don,t trust in our top scorers, especially Jackson mwanza. They get goals in Mtn super league but can,t shoot or miss at national level. They fail even to shoot off target.

  9. with supportive and sensible fans Patson Daka can be another Zambian great footballer. Some of u have never watched the lad.Thats why u ve not seen his speed, movement on and off the ball, skill, confidence and discipline.Talented boy!

  10. Kalu stop those teams using that cramp of the stadium in Woodlands, especially televised matches. We have very good stadia which you can just recommend to be used for televised matches,I know we are poor but we can do better than that crap of a stadium, you are embarrassing us to the all of Africa bro.

  11. Let us wait and see where some of these players will go, we have seen some great talents at junior level in Zambia but they just disappear like steam. We over rate our players. They get some goals in Mtn league and we start singing, give them real task they fail.
