Sepp Blatter resigns!!

Sepp Blatter has announced that he will step down as FIFA’s president.

The unexpected move comes just a few days after Blatter, 79, was elected to a fifth term as the head of soccer’s world governing body despite ongoing criminal investigations into corruption with the organization.

Blatter said he will call for fresh elections to choose a successor.

    WC IN SOUTH AFRICA..Loooooool

  2. The clock is ticking for Kalu. But know how stubborn he is, he will holdon until they put handcuff in his hands, what a shame. This is what greed does. Only thinking for his pockets. Maybe Blatter is not corrupt, but its people like Issa, Kalu that brought this man down.

  3. where did Kalu spend this money, he needs to payback to FAZ, and he need to resign

£48,000 to Zambian FA president Kalusha Bwalya for ‘FA and personal expenditure’.

  4. Eventually the “Big Fish” has conceded to have corruption in the FIFA. Now let us hope the “running on thin resources” will follow the suit” as well.
This is the way it should always be that people who are entrusted with power should be held accountable and be responsible.

    • Yeah Kalu should resign. Infact send him a twit @KalushaPBwalya, expect to be blocked as he never take criticism…typical dictator.

  5. Former England captain Rio Ferdinand has tweeted: David Gill…..do the honorable thing & please step forward

  6. Moral of the story is..piss of the USA at your won risk and corrupt FIFA though barbaric countries like Russia and Qatar have been pissing on the USA and now the culprits are being brought to book.

  7. More reasons for the corrupt fucks to hate the USA. Hahahahaha I am loving it, say no to corruption no matter what.

  8. Blatter has done a lot for african football. Countries like Rwanda , burundi, Sudan , Kenya n Zambia @ th old independence hv got artificial pitches, evn tho sm pipo say that he was corrupt during his tenure as fifa president, his works will nvr b forgotn.

    • Just what has Fifa done for Zambia i would like to know? seriously point to some concrete things i really am curious.

The is an article on bbc, very interesting, our own Simata simata is quoted too among many. www. bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-32928984

        • What Simata has said in this article is as good as arguing not even Mandela left a legacy, because he did not use his money and South Africa was going to get liberated anyway! Very dull thinking if you ask me

          • And another thing you may not realise but what Simata is quoted in that article is one of the most damaging things to Sepp Blatter. But I dont expect people with no integrity to understand that.

        • Coming from me. And you are who exactly? A Buch person?

We had a football house before football house, how much does a artificial turf come in handy. We only need an artificial turf because everybody else has one.

Coaching programs? 2 weeks here 2 weeks there. These coaching programs are not worth anything. If they were serious about training african coaches they take to europe and let them train to coach teams in europe. How many coaches with A licenses ir whatever are going to get a job in Europe?

          • Yes coming from you Mr. Know It All, we follow your comments, in fact something is making me believe you must be Simataa himself using a decoy name at seen from shaniuko! Integrity???? What integrity does Simataa have???? Get real!

  9. Well ok, but it means nothing because a successor will step in and do exactly as sepp was doing. That is obvious. Sepp had become too much of a target…

The corroption will be weeded out slowly. Will Sepp’s hand picked, no doubt, successor have all the loyalties sepp had. Time will tell.

  10. I hope whoever succeeds Blatter won’t be a sold out puppet for UEFA. Agreed FIFA is a mess right now but I’m tired of people calling Blatter corrupt when no one has proof to that effect. Same thing applies to Kalusha. Why can’t those calling him corrupt step forward and present the evidence.

  11. @Paddy: are u the only stranger in Jerusalem ?with all the corruption allegations what do u expect? Who should be held accountable ? The buck stops at the foot of Blatter. Who else? Me?
Evidence gathering takes time. Do u think Blatter resigned for no reason? Same will happen with Kalusha.

    • Precisely my point. Corruption allegations. I hope you’re not crucifying the man before trying him in the court of law. If he’s found guilty fine, but until then he’s as innocent as a baby. I ain’t condoning any corrupt practices but neither am I prepared to judge someone without allowing the natural law of justice to be adhered to.

  12. This is what i talk about on this blog. I am called names and insulted for calling a spade a spade and not a big spoon. CORRUPT AND PATHETIC FAZ DICTATOR Kalusha Bwalya should also follow suit and resign in the best interest of Zambian football.

  13. Since resigning is the big thing why don’t we ask some people to resign from the blog……kikikikiki

Ok on a serious note I am shocked at how many African people Blatter put a veil over their faces and fooled them into thinking he had a big heart for African football. If Blatter had a big heart for African football he had the power as FIFA pres to get rid of the rot that is causing African football to fall, the rot called Hayatou. Did he do anything about that? the answer is a big emphatic NO!!!!

We should not praise him for bringing the world cup to Africa when the real reason he did that was for the ten million reasons that hit his bank account and not a big heart for Africa. Instead of putting up a programme to establish the CAF champions league and have a direct ten year plan to make it a tournament of major recognition on the world map what did he do, he convinced the Chinese to put up artificial turfs and us Africans want to clap our hands for that.

People that want to support Blatter and say he was Africa’s friend look at the bigger picture and not small little things like artificial turfs. Blatter was not good for world football this is a big development truth be told. The world football family should now make sure we don’t get another Blatter or Valke in that seat, neither should we get Hayatou or Plattini for obvious reasons.

    • Ask countries like Liberia, Sierra Leone,Guatemala, Palestine etc… what Fifa has done to bring peace and stability in their countries. And for sure you refer to Hayatou as a rot, no wonder we attribute our maiden Afcon triumph to “luck” because a well organized event, under him would not have produced “lucky champions” but real champions. We are host U-20 Afcon yet all that to you is rot, what do you want a CAf president to do for a country, appoint world class coaches for Zesco and Nkana? To cut my long outburst short, it’s not what Hayatou does at Caf, but what you yourself does for Caf.

      • Im not sure the angle of your argument but one thing is for sure…Zambia won the AFCON fair and square through good coaching and tactical approach, only small time “soccer analysts” can attribute the win to luck. I will sing it from the mountain top we won it in 2012 because we were simply the best team at the tournament in 2012.

As for peace and stability am not sure the United Nations would agree with you that FIFA did that…lol…FIFA brought peace and stability??? really!!!! how did you come up with that?? So in your book there is peace and stability in Palestine!!!!!! The blood diamond and over 20 year instability in Liberia was resolved by FIFA???? wow!!! how did you begin to even come up with that?? The less said the better.

Hosting of the U20 Afcon has to be in Africa…were else did you expect it to be??? Asia!!!!!

With all due respect your argument makes no sense at all.

Hayatou is a joke, sorry if you support him but he is a joke that is seriously detrimental to African football.

        • The detriments in the game are actually people like you. Honestly, yes it is the job of the UN but Fifa has played significant roles in promoting peace and stability is such areas unless that’s news to you or you have just decided to turn a blind to such involvements by Fifa. Lastly it would do us good if we appreciate the more than 20 years of good service that the likes of Hayatou have brought to CAF. Under Hayatou we have seen even women competitions being participated by CAF affiliates, sorry that this hurts buy under Hayatou Africa has gone on to account for it’s good performances at all agegroup level across the world even accounting for several wins at huge competitions like the Olympics and Junior World Cups. If that to you is rot, well I guess the less you say the better otherwise we might just see who the rotten one is.

  14. The British and all these European countries would not have made this noise if England had won the right to host the World cup. This culture in FIFA and other continental football bodies has always been around for time immemorial. This lobbying and counter lobbying for power in FIFA will always be a part of its culture regardless of who takes over. Its part of football politics just as it is in the political mainstream activities(Gifts exchange hands). The only difference is when it becomes blatantly open as was the case with FIFA.Its a biblical question of ‘He who has not sinned before should cast the first stone.’Blatter may have had his leadership weaknesses but overall Africa benefited a lot from his leadership. Some hypocrites want to present a high moral ground attitude when daily they do the same in search of favours in life(A little token to a traffic officer to avoid paying a bigger fine….twalimishiba mwe ma Zambians).

    • MR MUMBA, THE REASON WHY BRITAIN IS MORE IN THIS FIFA EPISODE IS Viz:- ENGLAND DIDNT GET 2022 WC IT WAS WHEN BLATTER GAVE IT TO QATAR AND LATER BLATTER SAID IT WAS WRONG TO BE GIVEN TO QATAR COS OF THE HOT WEATHER..

    • If people are doing that, then when do we stop it? Your contention is that since others are doing same (but not caught), we should blindfold ourselves into not seeing what is happening at FIFA? How can Africa develop with such mentality? Because Africa benefitted we should all keep quiet? This is what is happening mostly with our governing bodies. Government officials and their families, friends and acquaintances enrich themselves to the total neglect of the whole country. Look to the left when this happens. MAY GOD SAVE US FROM SUCH THINKING

  15. The only time i will respect the position that Kalusha or anyone else is corrupt is when i see evidence of it. Don’t tell me that the money received by Kalu from Bin Hamam was for vote buying. Because Kalu does not vote and he can’t buy anyone with 80,000 because evidence so far points to the fact that whoever was involved was getting huge amounts of a million plus.

  16. Im happy, Sepp blatter has gone and he allowed corruption. So now he has gone it will mean Fifa can do even more for us poor countries because they will have more cash flow. If they do less perhaps that will mean Fifa was indeed bribing poor coutries to sustain themselves.

People think we should be grateful to blatter for doing the job he is paid to do, to be affiliated to an organisation that we should kiss ass when it benefits us. What is the point to be affiliated to this organisation if it does not benefit us. We Benefit them and vice versa but not on personal levels.

If Sepp Blatter had stayed i can guarantee you many countries would have one after another boycotted the World Cups. Fifa was going to fall flat on its face. Thanks or staying Blatter?

  17. in this world what ever you do is wrong .Sir sepp has done a lot concerning African football ask south Africans . He is the only fifa boss to award our continent Africa the right to host wc tourney .in Zambia kalu is the only one winning afcon trophy as faz boss .this is why failures are busy insulting him every day

  18. Even if one includes the likes of Malama.Jackson ,Justin,Mwape to the National team leave out the likes of Kola,, Mayuka,Lubambo you say that is good deeds.I will always like Kalu the player and person not Kalu the FA President.
