Tanzanian international Mbwana Samatta scored two goals to silence Nkana FC as the Zambian super division side went down 2 – 1 in an international friendly match played in Lubumbashi on Friday afternoon.
Mazembe opened the scores from a controversial penalty after Roger Assale was judged to have been fouled for Samatta to convert from the spot in the 12th minute.
Mazembe extended the lead in the 19th minute after Samatta again headed home for the game to go into half time with a 2 – 0 scoreline.
Nkana created enough chances to get back in the game but they had to wait until the 74th minute when Muchili Chanda pulled one back.
Zambian internationals Rainford Kalaba and Kabaso Chongo were both in action for the Congolese side which is shaping up for CAF games while Nkana is getting ready for the kickoff of the 2015 season.
