At least
Zamfoot, i would very much like to see some interviews from players who have gone to Europe. The ones who have had difficulties, we must be learning what these difficulties are because all anyone wants to hear about is success but success is not easy to come by. We must also learn from failures. We have a number of players who have struggled. This is about people, about confidence and trust.
I would say Sate move to his club was a good one but from these reports he doesn’t have room to move from that position. That seems frustrating because we know he has talent, he has international caps and goals under his belt.
Felix, Fwayo, many players. Maybe together with all these different experiences we compile some better understanding and methods of going abroad, the demands and expectations.
Good point @Seen from Afar
goood observation. very valid point.
That’s true dear
Bitter sweet news. Sweet in the sense that Sunzu seems to slowly be finding his way into the new coaches heart and is now seeing some game time. Moses as well seems to be sealing a first team spot in Portugal.
Bitter for Kola,1 goal in 18 would be justification for any coach to let a player go. Mweene were even a goal keeper lower than him in the pecking order is selected above him for a game. Sate sate no comment.
One of the saddest stories in the history of South African football is the behind scenes drama at Moroka Swallows. The history of this club and what it represents coming out of Soweto make the recent happenings at the club bring a tear to a football fans eyes.
If Clifford has joined Swallows he must be in a very desperate situation as this club is on the verge of being disbanded. Even government ministers who have taken time to try and save the club are slowly giving up. Why would a player join a club that has not paid its players for months on end. I hope Clifford has a solid plan behind this decision. It is actually a miracle the club still exists.
Very sad about Moroka Swallows…the Dube birds seem destined to die. Last year I met an white grandpa who was so passionate about Moroka Swallows and wanted so much to share about their tribulations during diner with his family but no one could understand him! He told me he drove to Soweto from a southern suburb everyday to watch them train…He had fond memories of Chisa Mpama (the late Dennis Lota)
Cliford is still the best player ba Zesco United failed to use him because of his classic display, Other players be goodlucky
Clifford mulenga wasDesperate indeed but that will keep him in shape
Clifford shud learn 4rm mbesuma, on and off the pitch gud behavior is important, life is fair its gives chances all is not lost. U still claim u not yet 30 so time is still thr if at all its tru.
….. sum of our players hv jst become ‘TOURISTS’ and football is thr hobby which they play durin thr free time. If they’re not on the bench then thr in the stands cheering. #shame
Just like all other aspects of life, you either make it in football or you fail. Most European streets are littered with failed footballer tryists from all over the world especially from one region in Africa. For every one (1)footballer who makes it successfully ninety-nine (99) have failed. Go to Paris and see how many are now vending (il)legal tinklets on the street, go to Amsterdam or Rotterdam; Barcelona, Roma, name it they are there.
So give those youngsters who are still struggling a chance. Some of them have attitude problems and by the time they learn it will be too late.
Well said, Kasama Boy.
that’s true. But the question is, what can we do to prepare our boys for such challenges?
indeed
