Nsabata is now second choice at Sekhukhune

Goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata’s lack of game time at his club in South Africa is worrying the Chipolopolo Technical bench.

The 29 year old has gone 540 minutes [6 matches] on the bench.

Ivory Coast born goalkeeper Badra Sangare has dislodged the Zambian as Sekhukhune the United’s first choice shot stopper.

The 36 year Ivorian was in goal on Wednesday as Sekhukhune demolished lower tier Liver brothers 6-0 in the Nedbank Cup.

Nsabata’s last appearance was a month ago against Marumo.

He has made just 8 appearances while last season he featured in 25 matches.

Owing to his impressive performance, he was nominated for the PSL Goalkeeper of the season

The former Nchanga Rangers and Zanaco goalkeeper’s lack of game will affect his form going into next month’s back to back African Cup of Nations qualifier against Lesotho.

Currently Nsabata is the Chipolopolo’s undisputed no.1 owing to lack of competition from the locally based goalkeepers.

Cyril Mwenya Chibwe and Charles Kalumba are having also struggling for game time at Zesco United and Red Arrows respectively

Chibwe was between the posts on Sunday against Green Eagles while Kalumba is playing second fiddle to Ken Mumba.
