No movement for Zambia on FIFA ranking

Zambia has maintained position number 78 on the FIFA / Coca-Cola ranking for the month of April.

In the month of March, the Chipolopolo played two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at home and away against Congo which both ended in 1 – 1 draws.

Congo are 10th in Africa with Algeria have regained first position in Africa after erstwhile leaders Cape Verde fell 16 places to rank 6th in Africa.

  1. How many games has Zambia won of late, and against what type of opposition have we struggled with draws? That must answer your question. One thing to realise is our football standards are very low presently

  2. Even if they look fake they show how far below our standards hv gone. We’ve been 2 the drawing board a million times that the board itself has become bored. We r one of the most consistent ‘average’ team in africa these days if it wr in EPL we wud hv been like Stoke or Everton, we need 2 up our game othr teams r improving.#will stop rite here quick

  3. These Fifa and their rankings also?!! Ba Zed never mind them, we all know that when it comes winning the AFCON we can upset fifa paper-work. For now let’s worry about beating Guinea Bissau and Kenya.

    • You sound as if we have won the AFCON 11(eleven) times, but no, only 1 (time). We are doing something wrong & we need ideas irrespective of the rankings. We could not come out of the group stage during last AFCON. Now under new management , ideas, fresh ideas needed
