Nkana to stick with Bakala despite poor start

Nkana Football Club are set to stick with head coach Ian Bakala despite the shaky start to their 2023/2024 MTN Super League campaign.

Nkana are winless and have only managed three points from their opening eight games.

However the ZamFoot Crew understands that Bakala has the full backing of the club management who have faith in what he is building at the club.

Bolanews recently quoted former head coach Beston Chambeshi saying he is ready to return to the helm of the Kitwe giants.

“I’m ready now,” Chambeshi said. “It’s been a time of reflection for me, as well as just resting and watching the game from afar. However, you can expect to hear from me soon.”

The 13 time Zambia Super League Champions started the new season on a very slow note losing their opening two games hence the management deciding to send Beston Chambeshi on administrative leave

They suffered a 1-0  loss in week one and again by the same scoreline in week two against newly promoted Mutondo Stars.

They then turned to Ian Bakala who ditched Forest Rangers to join the legendary club.

Kalampa however remain bottom of the MTN Super League table with 3 points making it one of their worst starts in the recent past.
