Copper Queens striker Rachael Nachula scored Zaragoza CFF’s second goal and assisted the third in the 3-1 win over Atlético Madrid Femenino B in the Reto Iberdrola.
Cara Curtin put Zaragoza in the lead with a scrappy close range finish in the 30th minute. Nachula was involved in the build up.
The former Green Buffaloes Women’s football club then doubled the lead in the 35th minute, getting on the end of a long ball from midfield before going round the keeper and slotting home with easy.
Nachula then turned provider as she started a move in her own half before setting up Naima García for the third goal.
The win takes Zaragoza CFF to 9th place with 19 points from 25 games . They have two games in hand.
Compatriot Hellen Mubanga is still out nursing an injury. She underwent surgery in November and is expected to be out for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile in the Primera Iberdrola Rachel Kundananji was a second half substitute in SD Eibar’s 7-0 bashing at the hands of the best team in Europe at the moment, Barcelona Feminina. Next up for Eibar is Real Madrid away on Sunday.
