Mukuka Mulenga’s future in the balance

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Mukuka Mulenga’s future hangs in the balance after his return to the club from Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Mulenga spent last season on loan under Muhsin Ertugral’s tutelage and his contract is set to expire this week.

“Mukuka is back with the team after his loan deal ended at Aces but the problem is that his contract at the club is also coming to an end and hasn’t been extended yet,” a source close to the club told the Siya crew.

The source went on to say that the 22-year-old remains unsure about his future at the club.

“He is not sure whether he is staying or not,” the source explained.

Mukuka Mulenga made five appearances in the Absa Premiership for Black Aces last season.

  1. This boy is only 22 and this should serve as a learning curve. He needs to come back home before those useless Gorillas burn him with them Tyres. He needs to come and establish himself again in the National team, He has 3 more years before his peak leave and time is running out, He can’t be a bench warmer if is to be the “Deco” as was once labeled. 3. Eish its sad for this kid. Even in smaller teams like Aces and Celtic he could not replicate what made him a house hold name in Zambia I wonder if Sundowns will give him another shot. Sundowns are cutting down the size of the team and are going the route of correcting the player salary imbalance they brought to the PSL hence the reason their captain has left and now signed for Chiefs. Mukuka has just not done enough to draw enough interest from PSL clubs but he should never say never, he could still get something in the PSL otherwise he could return and earn peanuts in the ZPL.
