Rainford Kalaba named UNICEF ambassador

Chipolopolo skipper Rainford Kalaba has been named UNICEF ambassador.

The TP Mazembe midfielder received the award last week and this was confirmed by Football House.

Kalaba received the honorary award in his capacity as Zambia national team captain.

The 29 year old former Zesco United player is currently in Tanzania with TP Mazembe on CAF Confederations Cup duty.

On June 16, Zambian football icon Kalusha Bwalya participated in a special high-level football tournament for Permanent Representatives to the United Nations in New York, to promote the role of sports in achieving sustainable development and peace.

Note: ZamFoot has made a correction on Kalaba’s age which is 29 unlike earlier captured. He turns 30 in August.
