Zambia’s FIFA Referees Diana Chikotesha and Nancy Kasitu will be the only two Zambian match officials at the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The duo are among the 46 match officials selected for the tournament that include 18 Centre referees, 18 assistant referees and 10 Video Assistant Referees.
The WAFCON tournament will be played in Morocco from July 5th to July 26th, 2025.
The Copper Queens are in Group A alongside DR Congo, Senegal and hosts Morocco..
The Barbra Banda captained side will face Morocco in the opening match on July 5.
Alongside Nigeria and holders South Africa, Zambia is one of the pre-tournament favourites.
That Morroco game is crucial. Winning it by any means possible will be a game changer….
