Canada based centre back Aime Mabika is believed to be frustrated over the protracted saga regarding his Zambian passport, the ZamFoot Crew understands.
Mabika was born in Zambia to Congolese parents and at the age of 8, he moved to America with his parents.
Although he qualifies to feature for two other countries [USA and DR Congo], the 24 year old opted switch his allegiance to Zambia 14 months ago.
He currently features for Toronto FC after he signed from Inter Miami.
Last year he featured in friendly matches [Against Benin and Congo Brazzaville] in Antalya, Turkey but since then things have been dragging.
On Monday, Chipolopolo Boys coach Avram Grant expressed ignorance if Mabika’s passport was going to be issued on time.
“I don’t know. It’s more of administrative,” the former Chelsea coach said.
Despite assurances from the new FAZ General Secretary Reuben Kamanga that the Ministry of Home Affairs have indicated that the players’ passport will be ready, there’s a general public consensus that will not be the case.
For now, Grant’s attention will be on the partnership of Tandi Mwape and Frankie Musonda with Dominic Chanda as a back up plan.
Golden Mafweta will be the under study to the trio while Stopilla Sunzu if he joins will offer his experience.

Ba Zamfoot contact the parties involved and give us full details . That’s journalism
Not to take away his contribution to the team, can we work with what is available?
We rose from the ashes of the Gabon crash that wiped out an entire cream of Zambia football budding and oldies as well and excelled.
So for now forget about this issue and let’s move on.
@Kasama Boy
I understand your view , it’s sad we have a number of players dotted around the globe but we have completely failed to bring them over to our Zambian soil because of the same saying “let’s work with what’s available.”
Mudala nga fwe ma fans twalalila the moral of the players in camp may be affected.
We need all good Zambia players from anywhere around the globe who are elligible, but this is something beyond us for now.
He will go to the Afcon after those available qualify us.
