South Africa based versatile player Gamphani Lungu is elated to be back in the Chipolopolo Boys set up.
Lungu who missed the back to back AFCON qualifiers against Lesotho is ecstatic to be back with the team ahead of the penultimate round of AFCON qualifiers.
Lungu says the call up for such an important match is a big confidence boost for him.
The former National Assembly and Power Dynamos forward has also called on the fans to come out in numbers and support the team.
“I feel really good to be back with the National Team. Especially since it’s an important game, we have not been to the AFCON in a long time and this is our chance to get there. The coaches putting faith in me to bring me back for such an important game is something good for me, It’s a big morale booster,” he said.
“This time at least we will prepare with good time, we can do some food work on gellying and coordination.”
“To the fans, please come out in numbers to support us. We will do our best to get the result that Zambia needs,” he added.
The team has since set up base in Johannesburg, South Africa for a week long camp.
Zambia will host Ivory Coast on June 17 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in a Group H match.
