Janza: No drastic changes to Chipolopolo squad in game against Cape Verde

Chipolopolo coach Honour Janza has said he will only make necessary changes to the team that will play the final group stage game against Cape Verde on Monday.

Responding to a FAZ media question on whether he will make drastic changes to the team that lost to Tunisia, Janza said no drastic changes will be made to the team.

Janza remained upbeat that his team will qualify to the quarter finals despite it being a mathematical chance which hugely depends on the game between Congo DR and Tunisia.

“People may talk about Zambia and calculations but permutations and calculations are part of the game and as Zambia we shall take advantage of the situation to the fullest, Janza emphasised.

The team was back in training yesterday and continued today with all but Emmanuel Mayuka and Nathan Sinkala, who has requested to travel back home after being ruled of the tournament, not involved in the training.

Zambia will need to beat Cape Verde in the final group stage game and hope Congo DR do not beat Tunisia in the other fixture.

  1. The second game my predication was wrong though I feel the players never wanted my prediction to be correct, but on Capo vede its a must win, and that will help my predication to be correct . I liked the officials who handled our game, that was the best officiating so far in this tournament

  2. The only change Janza needs is to puzh Evance up flont replacing Mayuka and bring Bruce Musakanya in the position of Evance Kangwa. at the back Emmanuel Mbola is slow to clear the ball plus the hight which could not help zambia against the Tunisians second goal. onestly i miss Nyambe Mulenga at this stage but Janza can Use Rodrick kabwe who is not playfull at the back but reads the game and very swift to intervein. defence wise is ok though they arr shy to talk.

  3. Janza must push Singuluma upfront and bring in Chisamba Lungu to play in the midfield.Singuluma is a natural striker as much as Chisamba is a natural midfielder

  4. Janza should not play Mbola period! zambia will go through only if Janza can maintain the same team which faced Tunisia eccept that short boy Mbola

  5. tHere is a paradox who commented that ghana’s win was a fluke. that wasnt me. that half brain paradox has no profile picture. am off zamfoot for long time.

    • Why are u here? You deeds will follow u everywhere u go. U just commented on ghana soccernet that their win was luck. NOBODY BELIEVES U BECOS U DO NOT LEARN FROM PEOPLE LIKE ROK OR POSITIVE THINKING. Your mentor is the equally ignorant half literate Mumbi

    • Off Zamfoot but on Ghanasoccernet? You made same comment on our site. You are a big liar. The profile picture can be omitted easily. Be Yourself. Whether you like it or not, Ghana Won against Algeria. We know you are hoping SA shatters Ghana tomorrow.
You are one of the most divisive individuals ever to live in the land of Zambia (Southern Rhodesia). If Zambia had the likes of you in power, the nation would be rotten. GROW UP AND BE CIVILIZED.
When u read the postings of educated and cultured persons like ROK, what comes to your mind. ROK is highly educated, sensible and a well-balanced individual. He is a mentor. Your mentor is mumbi. You will have to change to ROK as your mentor.

  6. We r skatin on thin ice at da moment bt only if we take our chances then a win is possible. It seems we play well under pressure and i hp the AFCON 2010 scenario wil repeat itself wen we qualified wit 1 draw,1 loss and a win. SANCHO MUKWAI

  7. All the way Chipolopolo… I want to see a bit of Patrick Dudey Ngoma or Spencer Sautu at the least… even just for a bit… This time coach pleeeeeeaaaaaase make changes
