ENGLAND based striker Mwiya Malumo has been forced out of Zambia clash with Zimbabwe in the 2018 Mopani Copper mine U-20 Cosafa Championship semifinal tomorrow.
The unfortunate development was confirmed this morning by Zambia U-20 Team Doctor James Nyimbili in an interview.
He said Malumo did not attend this morning’s training session and is set to miss tomorrow’s showdown with neighbors Zimbabwe.
The UTH Orthopaedic registrar said Mwiya had sustained a stretched left knee injury, consequently forcing him out of the Southern Africa derby.
“We have one of our strikers Mwiya Malumo who sustained a stretched medial collateral ligament to his left knee. So he’s not been able to train this morning for the same problem and he’s obviously ruled out of tomorrow’s clash,” he said.
Meanwhile Doctor Nyimbili said other players were injury free and available to play for the Junior Chipolopolo semifinal game tomorrow.

To bad for the young man. wishing u a quick recovery.
