Clubless Fwayo slams Janza – I feel used

CLUBLESS midfielder Fwayo Tembo has lashed out at the Honour Janza-led Chipolopolo technical bench for ignoring him for the 2015 Equatorial Guinea Africa Cup of Nations finals.

Tembo, who is yet to make a debut at the Africa Cup of Nations, said in Lusaka yesterday that he feels used by the technical bench.

He said it is only fair that he also gets a chance to compete at the Africa Cup of Nations finals having helped the team qualify for the biennial tournament.

Tembo said on several occasions he has been overlooked for the prestigious championship.

“If they don’t have any plans for me, they should not use me in the qualifiers. I feel bad that I am sidelined when it comes to selecting the team to participate in the Africa Cup finals. I am only considered for qualifiers,” he said.

Tembo said being clubless should not be used as an excuse to sideline him as he featured in the qualifying race.

Tembo last donned national colours during an international friendly against Sudan at Lusaka’s National Heroes Stadium last August.

He, however, admitted that the transfer saga has affected him and is optimistic the row will be sorted out soon.

The former FC Basel and Etoile du Sahel forward has been inactive since he controversially left Romanian side FC Astra last year.

But Janza said Tembo’s situation makes it difficult for any national team coach to consider him for a big tournament.

“I feel for him and I needed him too but his situation is putting him in bad standing for selection. He is a good player and that is why I tried to bring him on board but he stopped training with Red Arrows making it complicated for any national coach to include him,” Janza said.

  1. Fwayo you’re a highly talented player, but your immaturity means you’ll never realise your potential. You’re busy blaming everyone else, your former club Astra and national team coach, except yourself. With this attitude, you’ll never participate at any Afcon tournament. In the qualifiers, it was clear for all to see that you were overweight and sluggish. Good luck for the future, but you need to do a lot of growing up.

  2. Practise makes perfect. fwayo u re not in any position that proves u perfect to be picked for any compentetive match. ontop of that u can not blame the couch. ur scenario is the same as some1 attempting to sit for a final exam without studying and adquately prepared though he is intelligent, can he pass the exam? the answer NO.

  3. Ba Fwayo efinshi ifi? You can’t even keep a club or stay at any club, and then you expect to bein the team. Awee twakana efyo. Apa pena mwatena by Fwayo. Get a life and get organised. Otherwise you will never play at AFCON.

  4. Wow. The fact that Jacob Mulenga a player scoring goals in Europe and a person who actually started some games in the qualifiers can take his exclusion with dignity while a clubless player who was even afforded the chance at national team level can sit there and complain is the biggest piece of evidence as to why this boys career is where it is. Attitude. A bad attitude will not take you anywhere. All those who have defended Fwaya and his club issues, blaming owners, or calling coaches racist…just look at what this man is saying. True colors are showing and it’s not pretty Bro. Muchinje

    • I hear you man this boy is a nut and this is what is wrong with Zed players. He thinks that when he puts his but on a VC10 Zambia Airways seat then he is a hero. Fwayo will never go anywhere even if he was given 1 million chances, mind you it is now 2015 and time goes fast. He thinks he will be young for ever and ever amen, idiot.

The chap has no tompwe. Ati let us support him for what? GOD the lord helps those who start by helping themselves. Playing football is his job and apart from that he can only work as chako burner, kaboyi and so forth. Don’t tell me he has earned enough to sustain himself the rest of his life, never and that is the reason why he is crying foul. He now knows his pocket is empty and very soon he will become another Emmanuel Zulu. Why didn’t do like others? Find a club like Zesco and play them while awaiting his self-made madness to be sorted out

  5. I am a fan of fwayo we certainly needed but the boy is clubless how can he be selected. He is behaving like a spoiled child. Why didn’t he train with a local club and prepare for afcon.

    • Spot on man. The boy has no tompwe and that is that. Beleive me this boy will end up as dead wood. We have seen many talents in Zed go to waste

  6. Iweh Fwayo lekefyo go and find a club then train very hard and work on your discipline. Make an impact at club level and I promise you I will rally behind you advocating for your inclusion in the team. As for now sorry Janza is right no coach is going to tolerate that kind of insolence.

  7. Kkkkkkk Fwayo tomfwa, that’s y I even like Clifford Mulenga over this guy coz as much as he’s indisciplined, he’s never been clubless and that’s fundamental for every player who want to don the National team’s Jersey .

  8. plide will not take u anywhere fwayo, hamble your self and find a team in Zambia like what Isaac did. soon u will be a laughing stoke of this nation like Emmanuel Zulu, waisted talent.

  9. Atase Fwayo, that is very senseless for you for you to say.Honestly, you are clueless and not even training with any club and you expect to be selected for AFCON,waiche you are so big headed ah.

  10. This boy has never been serious, he thinks he’s still a young boy, football moneys if not used nicely can come to haunt you. woke up fwayo.
