U17 take on South Africa at Nkoloma

The Zambia U17 national team will on Saturday take on South Africa at Nkoloma stadium in a junior international friendly.

Coach Chris Kaunda has called in new players in the team ahead of the next month’s tournament and will have a chance to assess the players before he trims his squad further.

He named the new players as Albert Mwanza (goalkeeper), Nsosa Sunzu (Midfielder), Peter Nyirenda (striker), Alfred Chirwa (defender), Maybin Kalengo (striker), Edward Mwanza (goalkeeper) and Shadreck Shimumbwa (striker).

The match kicks off at 1500hrs.

Goalkeeper: Danny Sikanyika, Albert Mwanza, Jackson Kakunta, Edward Mwanza

Defenders: Steven Chulu, Gift Sikaonga, Prosper Chilufya, Garry Mwelwa, Wayne Museba, Alfred Chirwa, Edward Chifwembe, Salati Lungu

  1. final whistle, zambia 1-1 s.africa. It was a poor perfomance from zambia. We need to improve if are to talk of the world cup. From what i have seen today,world cup is a big doubt.
