Former NAPSA Stars boss Mohamed Fathi believes the Pensioners have what it takes to return to the Super League.
Fathi feels players, the technical bench, and management working together will see NAPSA make a return to the Super League a season after being demoted.
NAPSA Stars are currently third on the Eden University/National Division One log with 50 points from 29 games.
The Egyptian gaffer has also wished the Pensioners well ahead of Saturday’s crucial ABSA Cup semifinal clash against 2018 Champions, Nkana.
“Today on my birthday I wish NAPSA Stars the very best in tomorrow’s game and to bounce back in the Premier League where they belong. I know they have the capability at the club if they work together as players, technical bench and management to achieve the target and bounce back to the Super League next season,” Fathi said.
“We had good days in continental football and represented the country very well. I wish the team to come back to that stage.”
Fathi is currently working in Morocco. He was appointed as Athletic Youssoufia Berrechid head coach in October 2021 and has been going well at the club.
Youssoufia Berrechid are currently 13th in the Moroccan Botolo League with 22 points from 20 games and are unbeaten in their last five games.
“In Morocco, we are doing well, we reached the quarter-finals of the Throne Cup (Coupe du Trone) for the first time in the club’s history. We are doing well in the league, we drew with both Casablanca clubs Raja and Wydad and our target is to stay in the league. I think we are on the right track,” Fathi told the ZamFoot Crew.

Fathi was appointed as NAPSA coach in July 2018 spending almost three years at the helm of the club.
Fathi led NAPSA to a historic achievement in 2021, guiding them to their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
