Chipolopolo Boys interim head coach George ‘Chicken’ Lwandamina has named a 28-member local squad for an assessment camp ahead of Zambia’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
The camp is intended to assess locally based players ahead of the September international window, when Zambia will begin their qualification campaign away to Algeria before hosting Togo.
The 28 players include four goalkeepers, eight defenders, 12 midfielders and four strikers.

The assessment camp does not include players from Zambia’s two CAF representatives, Power Dynamos and Red Arrows, while ZESCO United players are also unavailable because of the club’s ongoing pre-season commitments in Tanzania.
Zambia will face Algeria away during the FIFA international window running from 21 September to 6 October, before hosting Togo in the same window.
The September fixtures will mark the start of Zambia’s campaign to qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
