The Zambia Women’s national team will be aiming to seal their qualification to the Morocco 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations when they take on Namibia tomorrow.
The Brave Gladiators and the Copper Queens will lock horns in Johannesburg on Tuesday in the return leg.
The first leg played at Nkoloma Stadium last Wednesday ended in a goalless draw.
Zambia will be aiming to make it to their fourth tournament having appeared in 1995, 2014 and 2018.
Namibia on the other hand are aiming for a second appearance at the tournament having made their debut at the 2014 edition.
Coach Bruce Mwape will be without skipper Barbra Banda who has a hamstring injury. However, Misozi Zulu has joined the squad to beef up the attack.
Misozi has been in fine form for her Turkish outfit, Hakkarigucu Spor where she has so far netted eight goals since joining them in October 2021.
Zenatha Goeieman Coleman is expected to give Zambia a lot of problems and should be taken seriously.
The Fenerbahçe S.K. forward netted a hat-trick in the reverse fixture of the first round qualifier and a brace the first leg to help Namibia to a 5-3 aggregate win over Tanzania.
The winner over two legs will qualify to the Total Women’s Africa Cup of Nations that will take place from July 2-23 in Morocco.
The top four teams at the tournament will qualify for FIFA World Cup that will be staged in Australia/New Zealand in 2023.
