Copper Queens duo Margret Belemu and Ochumba Oseke have passed out from the Zambia Air Force (ZAF).
The duo feature for Zambia Women’s Super League side Red Arrows.
Following their close to six month military training, the duo with a host of other players are expected to be slowly transitioned back to football.
Belemu and Ochumba were key players at the Women’s African Cup of Nations in Morocco and helped Zambia qualify for the 2022 World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.
Once they regain their rhythm, they are expected to fight their places ahead of the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Should Zambia qualify to the Paris 2024 Olympics, the two airwomen will fancy their chances of making into coach Bruce Mwape’s final squad.

We salute you ZAF for honouring these women the opportunity to develop their carriers.
Furthermore thanks go to FAZ for allowing them showcase their sporting talents.
More importantly, ladies! Well done for excelling in your training with the airforce. We now need your fitness on the football pitch. Doing what puts smiles on your face & those of many Zambians.
Why can’t we call them to national team now so that they start training with their friends and when they gain their fitness we featuring them
The absence of belemu was really felt our defense became porous we need her as soon as possible to solidify our defense
