Chipolopolo trains at Orlando Stadium ahead of Bafana friendly

The Chipolopolo Boys had a feel of Johannesburg’s Orlando Stadium turf as they trained there on Saturday afternoon ahead of Sunday’s 3 pm kickoff against Shakes Mashaba’s rejuvenated Bafana Bafana side.

Honour Janza’s game of thrones now seems to have ended and it’s back to the pitch and the Zambian born coach will be hoping his boys will come to the party tomorrow.

Janza has a full strength side and all including strikers Sate Sate Kampamba and Patrick Ngoma trained and came out unscathed.

Prior to the arrival of Stopilla Sunzu, Janza has been using the partnership of Kondwani Mtonga and Bronson Chama in central defence with Donashamo Malama and Rodrick Kabwe as full backs.

In what seems like a 4-4-1 formation, Given Singuluma was being played in the hole behind Emmanuel Mayuka while the quartet of Lubambo Musonda, Nathan Sinkala, Chisamba Lungu and new skipper Rainford Kalaba in midfield.

But with ‘Sate Sate’ now back in training plus Sunzu, two players are likely to pave way.

  1. Chamanga can do even better than mayuka, we dont want to see a situation where by Mayuka stays upto 88th min even when we see he cant run, Janza try to be tactical at afcon, let me wait and watch the south game tomorow and judge for myself.

  2. I do have confidence in the coach and the coaching stuff, were team selection is concerned. We’ve talent but looking at the way they have picked the team is sad, no disrespect I love Zambian football so much, so what am trying say is the coach is to small for our team he hasn’t convinced me from the start.

  3. Janza, 4-4-2 will be ideal, possible line up.1 Mweene in goal, (2)CB Sunzu (3)Chama (4)Katebe (5)Nkausu Mid (6)Sinkala (7)C Lungu (8) Kalaba (9)Lubambo. (10)Given S (11) Mayuka our defense should be strong RSA will take the game to Zambia

  4. based on the squad released i think tomorrows we should use a 4-2-3-1

with sinkala and mtonga holding the defence will have good cover and both are good at building play from the back.singuluma gives us running power and the ability to close down from the front, kangwa is a natural goal poacher, kalaba gives us creativity in the middle of the park..mweene is aguarably the best goal keeper on the continent, nkausu, bola and sunzu bring experience at the back, while katebe offers a much needed physical presence in defence.

  5. @ kumesa sumbwe – This is great Bro, you know football and great contribution. You are the people we need on this site, not people who doesn’t give solutions but insults. This forum is to help the Technical bench.

  6. Stay focused especially after getting a goal, you tend to think it’s done deal and end up conceding like in that match against Japan.Be serious bane and good luck.

  7. It is clear from the reports coming out of J/burg that Janza will play Malama as a wing back. The guy was skinned for pace by Cape Verde and he will be our achilles heel. Is Janza so thick that he cant see that Malama is not national team material?

  8. ZNBC can you please SHOW us this game! Please no excuses, South Africa is very near! Failure to do so will result in heads rolling!

  9. Surely when you play these friendly you look at your new competitive game right?
Is that’s the case Malama will be up against bolaise? Seriously no hope you might aswell give up now with all due respect. He will skin him so much that he won’t have an rubber left on his boots haha. When you have a week spot in the team what opponents do is their exploit it. The ball will go that side at any given chance which will drag our defensive midfielders out of place. Please study your opponents carefully get as much info as you could.zambia are great on the back foot front when we counter but fell due to respect teams might just seat back and allow uß to have the ball. We need to improve on the front football and have plan b and c if we are to go further. Don’t give away stupid free kicks in dangerous area it’s about time we learnt from this. Let’s start tomorrow

  10. If Donashano Malama makes the starting XI tomorrow then there is something terribly wrong with Janza ,honestly Malama is not yet ready for the the national team and we all saw how the guy was being exposed during the qualifiers. The guy has poor reading of the game and his lack of judgement on when to go in for a tackle makes him suspect to be sent off.All in all am wishing the chipolopolo all the best and given a chance my lineup would look like this:(Gk) Kennedy Mweene,(RB)D.Nkausu,(RCB)Sunzu,(LCB)Katebe(LB)Kabwe,Sinkala and Kondwani (holding midfielders as Kondwani is a good distributer of the ball and can change defense into attack)Kalaba,Singuluma and Lubambo in attacking mid and Mayuka as a lone striker

  11. lets wait and see thats why frendly matches are there.they make u gauge the coach and the players.but i hav confindence in janza.my prediction at afcon is zambia 2 algeria 1 in the final.gud luk zambia at orlando.

  12. I feel Lubambo should be used as an INPACT player with say thirty minutes to the end of the game and the Malama people let the coach use him against the speedy Bafana so that he is so exposed that he will not use him again because me I do not see him how he can even do anything against the likes of Bolasie,Malama and Munthali should not even be on the bench, they are good players but not national team or AFCON material period.

  13. 1.Mweene 2.nkausu a.k.a rio 3.roderick kabwe 4.katebe 5.sunzu 6.sinkala nathan 7.musonda lubambo 8. chisambadinho 9.mayuka 10.singuluma 11.rainford kalaba a.k.a master a.k.a ba mupa capt in 4-4-2 formation second half shuffle mayuka out sate sate in lubambo out musakanya in chisamba out spencer sautu in(remember u hv da qualities of isaac chansa and gattuso in dis boy)
