The Zambia national team on Wednesday arrived in Lome Togo ahead of the international friendly against that country on Friday.
The Chipolopolo arrived in Lome just before midday and were in the afternoon allowed to train at the match venue.
George Lwandamina took the team for loosening up on the synthetic turf which will be used for the match tomorrow.
The team is expected to ramp-up the preparations today as the foreign based players join camp.
Collins Mbesuma, Rainford Kalaba, Evans Kangwa and Winstone Kalengo had already joined camp yesterday. Nathan Sinkala and Kabaso Chongo are not expected join the team until after the league game against AS Vita on Sunday.

Good team selection. Thats the difference btwn chicken and leroy.
Togo 4-0 Zambia
This is good Chipolopolo will have a good preparatory game then
it reminds me of a gud beating we recvd fro this togo, ask billy, nketani, chris, mbesuma, mweene ed others
With Adebayor as the protagonist ! fyalitulepaula !
What’s Kalaba’s situation at Mazembe? Just wondering why, unlike Nathan and Kabaso, he’s already in camp. I’m a bit behind on that front.
Awe mwandi its a tough one.
Sunzu will marry Adebayor, Zambia 2- Togo 1.
go chipolopolo you can do it again rememember you won afcon 2012.In football ni skill not names long time
Adebayor is a finished and tired old grandpa, with his family issues that recently took toll on him, he cannot replicate the form he had when they embarrassed Chipolopolo 4-0. Zambia will win this friendly game or atleast will make it respectable with a 1-1 draw. This is not the Zambian team that was in rebuilding mode. That time Zambia had completely lost direction in every angle from admin to caoching and to players who had no purpose for playing. I usually criticize Kalu for his corruption, but somehow I know Great Kalu rescued this Zambia team because we were completely useless between the year of 2000- 2008. Yes a lot of facts can be brought out for debate such as a bad economy on Zambia which affected our super league sponsorship and thus affecting the standard of soccer, but those years were nothing like ever seen in Zambian football, it was sad indeed. Benin/Togo would come and disrespect us in our own backyard. Indipendence stadium was disheartening to watch even a game to be played there, Chiluba and his government, had truly destroyed my motherland. Then with a true President in Levy Mwanawasa(May his dear soul rest in peace) fortunes started to turn around on the economic level, then Kalu took the helm at FAZ(with good intents) to rebuilt this team around Mweene and Katongo, I am excluding Mbesuma here as part of the nucleus , because he was our hope with them hatricks at chiefs and Zambia, but then he lost it to indiscipline with Chibuku and his so called friends back home. But thank God he has his head right to normal. I take it he could not handle the sudden fame came to him that time, oh well, just glad and thankful he is able to still contribute to our Chipolopolo right now. Point is, much as Kalu screwed up with his corruption and plain arrogance, we owe him a lot of appreciation and respect. There is my 2 cents worth folks, happy day to you all.
Ok let’s hit the freeway…it gonna be a gud game.
it will be our local players vs pros of togo
Togo looks bigger than us on paper. If they are to play according to what they appear to be on paper, we are heading for a beating. But I must say Zambia doesn’t not care about paper looks. We’ll be equal to the task. It’s forward ever
If Zambia played and did it against Italy, and they did it against Brazil, They also did it against Japan, Why can’t the Did it against Togo also? who is Togo?
Go Zambia after all we are building up for Guinea Bissau, and not Togo or the Zambia of West Africa. The real jugular to target is Guinea Bissau.
