The Chipolopolo Boys will face the Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly match next month in the United Arab Emirates, The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has confirmed.
The match will take place on October 12, four days before Egypt take on Algeria on October 16, with both games taking place at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.
FAZ President Andrew Kamanga had earlier hinted on Chipolopolo playing two international friendly matches in October.
The Copper Bullets will use the match to shape up for the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers which are set to kick off in November.
Zambia was drawn in Group E alongside 2022 semi-finalists Morocco, Congo Brazzaville, Tanzania, Niger and Eritrea.
Egypt head coach Rui Vitoria has since announced the initial list of players for the October camp scheduled to start from 9-17.
The players are:Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Elneny , Mahmoud Hassan Trezegia, Tariq Hamid , Ahmed Hassan Kouka , Mostafa Mohamed , Omar Marmoush, Hamdi Fathi, Mohamed Sharif, Sam Morsi, Ahmed Hamdi.
