The Zambia National Team will play two international friendly matches during the October FIFA window.
This is according to FAZ President Andrew Kamanga who was speaking in his weekly update, the President’s corner.
Kamanga confirmed that Football House will utilise the October window for friendly games for the Copper Bullets.
Kamanga has also revealed that Chipolopolo will take the September AFCON qualifier against Comoros seriously as they will use it to prepare for the World Cup qualifiers.
“The Chipolopolo will commence preparations for the September 9 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Comoros. It may be a formality match, but we will ensure that we use it to prepare for the November round of FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
We will also utilise the October FIFA window to play two international friendly matches. We will in due course unveil our opponents and details of the friendly matches.”
Chipolopolo have already qualified to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations following their 3-0 triumph over Ivory Coast in June.
Avram Grant and his technical bench will now be hoping to guide the team to their maiden FIFA World Cup with qualifiers set to kick off in November.
Zambia was drawn in Group E alongside 2022 semi-finalists Morocco, Congo Brazzaville, Tanzania, Niger and Eritrea.
Grant should invite the likes of Jadel Katongo, Emie Olsen, and Oliver Hesford for these friendlies
